Episode 4 of The Book of Boba Fett was a big Step Up

Episode four was another step up from last week’s episode. As episode four explores another flashback while Boba is healing from his past wounds. This flashback focus on his alliance relationship with Fennce. (Minor Spoilers)

This week’s episode was a big step up, because the flashback from episode four did not feel like a waste. This episode filled in the gaps between Boba met Fennce met after her final fight with The Mandalorian’s Din Djarin from season one episode five titled The Gunslinger. This episode reveals how Fennce survived and how she formed an alliance relationship with Boba.

The chemistry between Boba and Fennce has been one of the positive from the standalone series and from season two of The Mandalorian. The two characters recognized they work better together after they get Boba’s ship back from the Jabba’s palace. The action scene was a thrill to watch.

The Black Krrsantan returns in the episode which I was glad to see as Boba has plans for him. He was one of the best parts of this series I’m glad Jon Favreau didn’t let the character go after two episodes. The character gets another great moment by shoeing his strength as a wookie and he does rip an arm off!

It’s now official of Boba’s ship is no longer called Slave-1. Many fans will have an issue with it an I get it. This is why I call this version Disney Star Wars instead The Star Wars. Some of the dialog continues to be cheesy at times which was cringe. The scene with Garsa and Black Krrsantan was boring as Garsa doesn’t serve any purpose in the series.

Boba Fett in a mob setting trying to gain power as a crime lord is still a mixed bag in my opinion. Boba Fett continues to be to chatty and feels out of character. Clearly Jon Favreau is trying to make him more of a baby face in wrestling terms than a threatening bounty hunter for hire.

Episode four titled The Gather Room was probably the best episode of the series so far. A friend of mine said it best. Everything we wanted from a Boba Fett series we are getting in The Mandalorian series. It took some time for The Book of Boba Fett to fine its voice but hopefully it continues to improve as the series might of tease Din Djarin’s debut appearence in of the next three episode of The Book of Boba Fett.
