Episode 5 of Hawkeye will have everyone Breaking the Internet!

A lot of stuff to digest in the fifth episode of Hawkeye. Such as the return of Yelena, Echo’ s revenge for Ronin, and a lot more surprises. Minor Spoilers!

PROS

I think people do not give Marvel Studios enough credit for their casting choices, because Hailee Steinfeld is fantastic to watch in the series, because Kate Bishop is a fan like the rest of us and how she defends Clint to Yelena by throwing doubt in what she thinks happened to Natasha in Avenger’s End Game.

The cast people behind the scenes at Marvel Studios needs to be recognized more for how they identify the best choices for characters. Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye/Clint Barton continues to be the Hawkeye in live action form. He is The everyday guy who will do what’s necessary to protect his love ones no matter the cost.

Hailee Steinfeld and Jeremy Renner’s relationship is fantastic on screen and reminds a lot of Batman and Tim Drake’s relationship from the comics. She’s a big fan girl who Idolize Hawkeye and will stand by him no matter the cost or challenges. We see some of this tested with her scene with Yelena Belova played by Florence Pugh.

CONS

There was tons of bad cheesiness with Yelena Belova played by Florence Pugh. It was bad you will want to skip it. If you like Yelena in Black Widow you will be disappointed with her in episode 5. The writer’s on the series do not know to write Yelena well or find her voice through the dialog.

Echo continues to be a meh character that not many people will care for. Obviously everyone will be watching her series because Charlie Cox is returning as Matt Murdoch/Daredevil as a co-star since audience will not have an investment for Echo.

The surprising twist about Kate’s mom wasn’t surprising as Marvel has a track record of using the same song and dance formula it shouldn’t be a spoiler if you watched episode 4. When she questioned Hawkeye and Kate’s involment. Plus we see her call someone at the end of the episode that lead to Yelena first appearance on the series.

OVERALL 7/10

Most of the episode wasn’t great but the reveal we are hoping for pays off in the episode will shake the MCU crime world to the core.
