Episode four of WandaVision brings audience out of Westview and back to the good ol MCU that we are familiar with, after how episode three ended. Episode four is titled “Interrupt this Program,” which lives up to its title and will answer some of the important questions audience myself was glad to see they fleshed out. MINOR SPOILERS
PROS
Episode four of WandaVision is the important episode so far in the series, because of the time stamps between Endgame story and WandaVision. Teyonah Parris who plays Monica Rambeau in my opinion was the highlight of the episode. She’s a very good actress who plays a character that we have learn has a lot going on personally after the surprising reveal of what she’s been up to pre WandaVision.
Episode four of WandaVision reintroduced the return of now DR. Darcy Lewis played by Kat Dennings from the Thor series films, and FBI agent Jimmy Woo played by Randall Park from Ant-Man and the Wasp movie. Both are their for comedy relief and what have they been up to since was last seen them.
This was a great break from the previous weird sitcoms love letter featuring Wanda and Vision. Darcy and Jimmy play the audience from the Wanda and Vision sitcom as they recap what they have seen and figuring out what is going on from the tv. We did learn a little bit of what happen to Marie Rambeau from the Captain Marvel movie and what her an Monica have been up to after the first appeared in Captain Marvel.
We learn how Monica Rambeau and S.W.O.R.D gets involved with Westview and answers some of the question people had after the first two episodes.
CONS
Even though episode four answered some big questions. The entire episode is a long recap of what has happened in the first three episodes and fills in some of the missing blanks that we have seen previously. If you are hoping episode four continues to move forward it doesn’t. It’s a tie-in with some surprising reveals.
The Dialogue was a mixed bag between Darcy and Jimmy. Some bad comedy moments between the two of them.
OVERALL 7/10
Episode four of WandaVision reintroduced two supporting characters from previous MCU movies and answers some big questions in the series. Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau was the highlight for the episode, However the plot doesn’t move forward which will disappoint most audience.
