Chapter 12 continues Mando and the child’s adventure in finding the Jedi Ahsoka Tano. However they meet up with two familiar characters in episode 4 with a few surprises an a reveal in what the remaining empire is up to. NO SPOILERS
PROS
What I enjoy about the episode is the amount of set ups this episode does for future episodes and story points. The episode reveals what Greef Karga played by Carl Weathers, and Cara Dune is up to since we last seen them. We learn what kind of changes has been made to the city since we last seen them. Lots of storm troopers and tie fighter action in this episode. The episode does a great job balancing everything between serious and fun moments.
We see a few more baby Yoda moments with the child hanging out in a class room and doing adorable things that I’m sure will be future memes on social media. The action in this episode matches the high standard of what The Mandalorian has set up since the pilot.
Dave Filoni wrote this episode. He is best known for Clone Wars and Rebel series so he is obviously setting some big story points that I’m sure will lead into next episode and season two finale. Many people believes the next episode is titled Jedi with Ahsoka Tano’s live action debut. I think fans will be please with Moff Gideon plan revealed as to why the Empire needs the child. The end of the episode will set up some I think we will see in the finale.
CONS
There’s not much to nitpick about the episode. I did find one character who was brought back from season one kind of annoying. He was character made to be comedy relief an a punching bag for Mando, Cara, and Greef.
OVERALL 9/10
Episode 4 or chapter 12 titled Siege was another great episode. Episode 4 was a set up episode that is building to something bigger, especially with Moff Gideon’s plans revealed as to why he wants the child back.
